Rainbow Bright

Hey Dolls!

I really love the look of a cut crease eyeshadow application, but I can never seem to get the look right on my heavy, hooded, puffy eyelids. I've been practicing, and here two looks I did the other night just playing around.

I used the Sephora Color Play palette for this look.

I did a neutral look on the other eye. (Random, lol):

I used the Coastal Scents 28 Neutral palette for this look.

Left & Right/Day & Night

So yeah, um clearly I need work! Here's an example of a good cut crease application.

I'm going to keep practicing until I get it perfect!

Dear Santa,

I got these shoes yesterday. I haven't worn them yet, but I cannot wait to wear them. They are so flyyyyy! I got them in leopard, but I will be getting them in black and lipstick as well!

They are a pretty good value for the price. My only concern is that it looks as though the sole may be glued on. I also think it would be better if they were maybe 4 inch heals, but 3 1/4 makes them both casual and dressy. They were uber comfortable when I tried them on. I love love love, the round toe with a seam. I will be rocking these shoes with jeans, leggings, slacks, dresses, and skirts! They truly are versitile!

Finally, trendy over-the-knee boots for plus sized divas!

I got my boots yesterday and am wearing them today. I've gotten a bunch of compliments already! They are super cute and I love the rugged finish of the fabric. Like the other reviewers stated, these are not for winter wear, as they are not leather and are no waterproof.

I like that they were easy to put on. I got the WW becasue I was worried about them fitting over my legs, but I think I could have done a W. The WW gives them a more slouchy look which is fine with me. I'm pleased with this purchase, and I'm sure you will be too!

What you got in that case?

Hi Dolls,

I just wanted to show you a little bit of what's in my train case.  I have the pink train case from Sephora, and it is filled to the brim. This it's time to get another.  I love buying makeup.  I think it's a fun way to add color and pop to your outfits and express yourself.  I wear all different types of makeup from Bobbi Brown and Mac to Coastal Scents and NYX.  I think that NYX is an excellent value for your money.  I'm on a budget and can't afford to spend a fortune on a lipstick.  So NYX gives me more bang for my buck.  Enough talk, here's what I have:

Inside the case

The eyeshadow side

The lip side

Face/Brushes/Liners/Lashes

This is a Sephora Palette, can't remember the name :-(

Sephora Color Play Palette

The case speaks for itself

I love all of them, but I probably use my Coastal Scents 28 Neutral Palette the most.  I definitely recommend Coastal Scents. They have great products and excellent customer service. I even got free shadow samples with my order!

Stay tunes for makeup looks!

Me...in pictures

Hey everyone,
I just told you a little bit about myself, now I want to show you.  The following are just some pics I had taken of some my outfits.  Not really sure what my style is, but right now I think I'm leaning toward glamour girl! Lol! Being that I am a professional, I kind of feel restricted about what I can wear to the office, but I try to keep it jazzy. Let me know what you think!

Cardigan - Macy's
Dress - Walmart
Belt - Ashley Stewart
Tights - Avenue

Boots - Shoe Show

Vest - Hollidays
Turtleneck - Walmart
Pants - K&G
Pearl and Coin Necklace - Avenue

Gotta keep warm!
Wool Trench - Burlington Coat Factory

Blazer - Ashley Stewart
Perfect Pants -Ashley Stewart
Satin Cami - Macy's

Bib style statement necklace - The Avenue

Black Shooties - I've had these so long, I can't remember when or where I got them

And every now and then I get out and about...

Dress - Factory Connection
Shrug - Hollidays
Tights - The Avenue
Necklace - The Avenue

Sorry about the picture quality. I just got a new camera and I'm still experimenting. Also, I need to find a room with ideal light.  I'll get it together...one day! :-D

It's been a long time....I shouldn't have left you

Hey everyone!

It's me, Preencess. Sorry I've been MIA for a while, but I have been really busy lately.  I think this is a good opportunity for me to tell ya'll more about myself.  Like I've said earlier, I'm not an expert or professional and beauty/fashion is my passion, but it's also just a hobby.  I have a career, a child, and a home to maintain, so unfortunately, I cannot devote as much time as I'd like to the blog.  I have been debating about what I want to do with the blog and whether I even have the time to do it al all. But, for now, I'm going to keep the blog and keep working at it. I really hope to get posting reguarly, but it's hard being a single working mother.  That being said, I'm here now and ready to post.

Thanks for hanging in there with me!!!

Luv,
Preencess

Yeah, I'm the Chic

Hey Dolls,

I'm coming to you with another wig look. This one is the Model Model Chic Synthetic Lace Front Wig. I picked this wig up at the same time I bought Carmen (see previous post for Carmen). I wanted to give my real hair a rest, and was looking for a natural looking wig. I saw this one on the manequin in the BSS and tried it on, intending to get it in a number 2, if I liked it. Well I tried in on and immediately loved the style. The saleswoman at the BSS convinced me that I loved the color too. It is a color F207. Everyone at the counter encouraged me to get it. I was thinking about lightening my hair for the spring and summer, so I said "What the heck, I'll give it a try." I'm glad I did. I have gotten sooo many compliments on this wig and I have fallen in love with it. I'm actually about to buy two more!

Chic is a nice layered body wrap style wig that falls just below the shoulder on me. I like to wear it with the shorter layers in the front kind of feathered back. The only complaints I have are that it was unaturally shiny at first and the lace is kind of stiff. The lace actually ripped on me. I put some baby powder on the hair to dull it down (You Tube advice!) and the torn lace was on the side so it didn't make a big difference. Overall, I really love this wig. I don't think it's that popular because I haven't really seen to many videos or posts on it, but I did find a couple by searching for Model Model Chic on You Tube.

Here are some pics of the wig when I first bought it. I'll have many future posts with this wig on so you can see how it looks as time progresses.

On the Bandwagon

Ok Dolls,

I'm sure a lot of you all have heard about the Carmen wig from Model Model. There are numerous You Tube videos of ladies with this wig. The one that Ateyaaa did had me hooked! I new I had to have Carmen in my life! Then I saw beauty2023's video which won the 10 Look Contest that Ateyaaa sponsored. I bought the wig at my local BSS (Beauty Supply Store) and it was on sale for $17.99...You can't beat that with a bat! Lol!

I really like the wig. It is really soft for synthetic hair with a nice curl pattern. The cap was comfortable to wear and had combs to keep it in place. The cap also has a skin part. It was a little dark to be my scalp, but you really cannot notice it. I got it in color #2. Here are some pics of me and Carmen:

All-in-all, Carmen is a beautiful wig. I've seen many different women wear it, and it looked great on everyone. If you are a wig wearer, or if you want to start, Carmen is a great choice!

Did ya miss me???

Hey Dolls!

I know, I know, it's been a while since I've posted. I am so sorry! I have been super busy, but I have a lot to say, so I'm going to do better. I was trying to wait until I got the money to buy a new computer before I really jumped in, but I'm just going to make it work with my old Dell!

I see I have a couple new followers, Welcome!!! I have a whole heck of a lot of posts coming up and I hope you'll like them! I'm still working on getting everything situated with the blog, so please bear with me. Thanks for visiting, and if you haven't done so already, follow and comment please!

Green Eyed Monster

Hey Dolls,

I'm bringing you my first makeup post...yay!!! It's featuring Maybelline Stylish Smokes Eyeshadow Quad in Emerald Smokes. The quad is really great for beginners because each part of the quad is engraved with the area of the eyelid it should go on (lid, crease, brow bone, outer corner). You have to pick up on it pretty quick though because the engravings wear off as you use the shadow. There is also a diagram on the back of the pallete that shows you where each area is. I would have swatched the colors, but they didn't show very well when I put them on my hand, and I didn't feel like going to get my primer or a concealer (lazy I know). When I did this look, I used Two Faced Shadow Insurance as a primer. I also used tape on the outside of my eyes so that I would have a nice crisp edge. I finished this look with some lashes that I got from Wal-Mart around Halloween. They were just for the outer corners. I used CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara. I think I had on Revlon ColorStay lipstick...I can't remember! I promise I'll do better next time! :-)

Hope you like it!

TTFN,

Preencess
